Leslie Ganyard Nutting is a painter based in West Virginia, though her roots are in California. Inspired by the natural world, Leslie explores America's remaining wild places. She is drawn to the untamed vastness of remote parts of the country, as well as trails and back roads closer to home. Leslie loves the freedom, adventure, and challenges of outdoor painting. She uses field painting opportunities to slow down, look closely, think openly, and explore the world in new ways. These immersive experiences create useful studies and memories which Leslie draws on to develop interpretive studio work.
